Cooper

I think I need a chest guard when holding Cooper now. When I'm lying down watching TV, sometimes I'll let Cooper sit on my chest. Last night I was watching a movie and ... chomp!! :eek: :eek: Cooper found the most sensitive spot to bite!! This is the second time it's happened too. ooooowww
On the other hand ... In the same position I fell asleep one time and woke to Cooper gently nibbling at my bottom lip. I guess it was time to go back to the playgym.
I've been bit while Sam was inside my shirt, And just like Cooper, she seemed to know exactly where the the most sensitive spot was. :lol
a few months ago blu didn't feel like cuddling and told me so by taking a chunk out of the tip of my nose. It was very embarrasing to go to work with that red scar on my nose. I was very hard for my colleagues not to stare :rofl:
Just be careful falling asleep with Cooper on you. It's not uncommun for poeple to roll on top of their birds. Traci's Angel was almost smothered by pillows while the kids weren't keeping a close eye on her. It happens too quickly.

Mel will run up and bite the back of my thigh if I'm lying on the couch with her. Back of the ankles are another favorite spot to bite, and of course the toes.
When I am holding Milo, he's usually perched on my finger so that we can have those nose-to-beak talks that he likes so much. If I tell him something he doesn't want to hear, he'll get me on the side of my nose, right on the edge of the nostril. That will bring tears to your eyes, I tell you.
If my husband hasn't shaved, Milo will run up to his face and pull a hair. Melody bites him on the back of the neck which absolutely p***es him off; and of course that's why she keeps doing it.

Oh boy! War stories! :lol The bites are finally good for something, other than for modifying my own behavior. ;)
Gracie has broken skin on me:
* Chin
* Neck
* Arms
* Armpits :eek:
* Breasts :eek::eek:
* Fingers
* Hands
* Belly
* Leg
None of which was her fault. I own every one of those bites from doing something that cheesed her off.

My birds aren't too big on biting, but I have to say that it's the WORST when a bird bites you in a spot when you're not expecting it at all. Squeaks will be on the playgym one second, then I'll look and he's gone. He loves running across the floor to get to me, even if it means leaving his girlie Aruba behind. >o I've learned now that while sitting on the couch, if I don't see Squeaks on that playgym across the room, he's probably about to bite my toes. :rofl: The only other places are obviously hands.....oh yeah, and ears. Squeaks hangs by my earlobes. Talk about *ouch*... :roll:

Hi Bronwyn,
I don't mean this in a critical manner so please don't take my comments the wrong way. If there's any chance that you might fall asleep, make sure that Cooper is locked up safely in his cage. We had a number of our members accidentally move the wrong way or roll over and their lovebirds died as a result. The most heartwrenching e-mail I ever got came from a young girl who went to sleep but didn't lock up her beloved lovie. When she woke up, the bird was dead on the mattress right next to her. I cried for days, even though I didn't know her.........
