Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this Community, and I'm looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone. :) I live outside of Atlanta, and I breed the peachface lovebirds for their color mutations (I'm really addicted to the color mutations, but especially to the sex linked genes). I also breed Sun Conures, and in the future I'll be breeding Green Cheek Conures (for their color mutations as well).

Hello Ruby,
and welcome to the community. I am owned by one blue fischer named Blu, one cat, one better half and two kids age 18 and 17. It's nice to have someone else who knows about genetics. Most of us gets confused with it.
I look forward hearing about your flock and seing pictures. We love pictures :D

Welcome from Oahu. I checked out your website and your lovies, and the rest of your flock, are beautiful. You definately look like you have your hands full :D .
I'm not a breeder but I have 18 lovie pets  and a rescue Meyer's Parrot. This board is great and we have lots of fun and info.

Hey Ruby, what took you so long? :D I'm so glad that you decided to drop by. This really is a wonderful forum and since I came here almost 2 years ago knowing ZERO about pet birds, I can tell you for sure that it's been a life saver for me! Even more so for Oliver! :)
I'll share a little info. with everyone else.....Jackie (Butterfly) and I met Ruby at a Bird Fair in April. SHE is the one that had the beautiful little violet that made my heart skip a beat. Turned out to be a female and I really want males but Ruby has kept in touch with me and she just might have something for me soon, right, Ruby? :D See ya Saturday!

Ruby,
I am so glad that you decided to join us here. Janie has spoken so highly of you, and I have seen your babies on the web cam, and they are just gorgeous!!!!!
I have two lovies(see avatar)one WF creamino-Lacey, and one Lutino-Bela. I also have a GCC-Cappie,and he is just so much fun. I do love the Sun Conures too, but I gotta stop somewhere, LOL.
I look forward to seeing ya round the board, and BTW, I'm a Georgia girl too, but an now in TN. I am originally from Gainesville, and of course that's still home :)

Lori, first time I met Ruby I told her about Bela, Lacey and Cappie!! :D Since she was just getting into Conures, I told her all about my friend who'd just gotten a GCC. Speaking of.....I saw a GCC today at a place called Pet Supermarket. I was there buying seed and stuff. He was adorable. I did ask the sales person how long their birds (other than parakeets) usually have to stay there and she did say that usually it's only a few weeks. I hope that's the case. Just kills me to see them in those nasty little cages with dirty water! :( I did tell her that the water needed to be changed!

Hey Girl!!! Jackie here and glad you could join us :D
As you know I have my two peachies - Molly & Daisy - and added another named Piper and he's a pied. I think I just might have room for another too :omg: Let's say a violet :lol
You'll love this site as we are all devoted to our babies and them some. Be sure to post some pics when you can so everyone here can see how gorgeous your mutations are.

Wow, thank you for the wonderful welcome.
Jackie give me a little time to get use to the forum, as I belong to msn and yahoo groups, that are set up differantly than forums. :omg: But I love pictures, and I have tons of them...I have pictures of every baby I have ever raised...LOL, and not just one of each, as I post the growing stages of each of my babies on the website. :p
Janie, yeap I'll see you this Saturday... ;) There is a page on the website that shows where all the babies have gone to live....well almost all the babies... as the ones that go to other breeders don't normally make it on there. I know I'm going to like it here, and I would have been here sooner if Jackie and Janie would have just told me where the group was, not just how wonderful it is...
Looking forward to the interaction.

Ruby,
This group used to be on EZboard.com but the site I had became very unreliable. In mid-May, I opened our new home and we couldn't be happier. There are members here who depend on being able to access the information or help from the community and downtieme just wasn't something I had tolerance/patience for.

I think I did say I bred Sun Conures...but ummm if I wasn't suppose to say that...then ummm errrr well? I ummm don't breed them...I just let them breed themselves  My favorate pair won't be old enough to breed for another 2 years, so I get two years to play with them before they move down stairs to the Aviary. :lol
I just love the friendly people over here    and the warm welcome was overwhelming.
I'm owned by 31 peachface lovebirds, 1 Greenwing Macaw, 2 breeding pairs of Sun Conures, 1 pair of future breeding Sun Conures, 1 pair of future breeding Green Cheek Conures, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 children, and a husband. We will soon be adding another future pair of breeding Green Cheek Conures, as my husband seals the deal.... :omg: I should be able to have baby pineapples by this time next year  Well that is if I can ever bring myself to move the Green Cheeks downstairs...  I have just fallen in love with the Green Cheeks, because of the way they are such clowns. Now saying that, I have to say that the peachies have a very special place in my heart, next to my Macaw of course...LOL I told my husband the other day I might cut back on some of the pairs one day  but there is no way I can ever give up breeding those little guys. I enjoy them way to much!
I really do look forward to learning with this wonderful group of people....and if I can ever figure out how to do the picture thing I will....I might just put up a web page just for this group...LOL it might be easier. I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone better.

Here's a late welcome to the board... :lol I see the gang has already jumped in and sucked you in. We're out in Oregon, near Eugene. Our roost here is ruled by a kooky little lovie named Friday, and my husband's and my husband's and my one year old daughter, Eden. We're expecting a little boy in September, and I'm sure that I'll be giving into the dark side and adding to the feathered members of the family before long as well. ;)
Now to parade my ignorance.... what is a pineapple? (other than a fabulous tropical fruit...)

Sorry I'm late ... welcome, Ruby! My WF violet (Milo, pictured in my avatar with his girl, Melody) seems to take the blame for Janie and Jackie's need for a violet lovebird (or two). :lol You have some very beautiful lovies! See you around the board ...

Milo made me want a violet too! But I really don't need another parrot (right now).
Unless it's a violet, or a sun conure, or a blue indian ringneck, or....... Oops here comes Ditto. Gotta go.

Yep, if there is blame to go around here, it goes to TWO people! First Jennifer for ever posting a photo of Milo and second to Jackie for telling me to "come over here and look at this VIOLET, Janie"......
But, I'm not blaming either one of you.....I'm THANKING you! :) I am so happy that I got these two!
