Hey Jude! (just like one of my favorite Beetles songs, :D) Welcome to a great forum! Glad Jessie got you here.

I'm in Atlanta and have one older lovie that we were fortunate to adopt 2 years ago. A normal peachie named Oliver....the love of my life! :) Just added two precious boys, DNA'd brothers who are 3 months old, to my little flock and they keep me entertained for hours! Big Boi is a WF Blue and Shy is a WF Cobalt Violet and both are beautiful! :D

We love pictures and would love to see some of your flock! :)

Ruby,

Are the sun conures good with the lovies? Those are so pretty. Do they scream ?

I have my future breeders upstairs with my baby lovies, and baby GCC and they all get a long just fine. The Conures are out most of the day, but the lovies only get some outside of cage flight time at least 2Xday. I have heard that Suns can be loud, but you wouldn't be able to tell it by the two that live in our family room. Now the breeders...that's a whole different story, as you need ear plugs to go down there... :lol But they can't be handled either. :( Checking in their nest boxes, we have to be creative....

I could sell Sun Babies all day long when people see these to quiet ones...but I will not sit here and tell you they are quiet, because I have heard other people say other wise.

Now saying that they get a long with lovies is one thing, but when I was hand feeding a friends tiel...that was a whole different story :omg: The Sun's didn't like that funny looking thing on that birdies head, and any time the tiel flew even close to the Sun's they wanted to snatch that funny thing off his head  All the type birds that I have do not have the crest, so they seem to be fine with the no crest...but then again this is only my expericance here with my birds..and I know that different birds have different likes and dislikes. :D

Hey Jude
Welcome aboard...
Hey from the great white north (Canada) Calgary, Alberta
We have 2 Fisher Love Birds inherited this June. They have had 2 babies born Aug 1, 2005. Can't wait to play with them.
This Web site is probably one of the best I have found. Very informative and friendly.

Sandy

Hey Jude, welcome to the community. I'm Lisa from Manitoba (Canada), and own two baby Lovebirds (Etna and Laharl, who I will be breeding next year :) ), a nine year old English Budgie (Buddy), and a baby regular Budgie (Sunburst). I plan on getting many more birds in the future, but my space is limited to my room (except for Buddy who is upstairs), so for the time being, I won't have too much more.

Anyways, I know you'll enjoy your time here. There is tons of crucial information you'll find, as well as knowledgeable members who help out all of the time. I know I'm certainly glad that I found this place.
