Razzle just left for his new home with Christine. We had a wonderful visit, and Razzle seemed very comfortable with Christine, and she with him. It seemed a perfect match, and so off they went. Im sad, but happy for Razzle. I cant wait for my first update, on how he did on his ride home! Thanks to all for your help and support in finding Razzle a new and wonderful home!

Judi,
Sometimes rehoming is in the best interest of the bird. If Razzle is happy, that was the best decision.

Please let us know how he's doing.

Sorry to hear that Razzle had to go. :grouphug1

Hopefully he will be happy in his new home and have the birdy friend he wanted. Sometimes doing the right thing is the hardest to do.

Judi,

I am so glad to hear that all went well. You can always keep in touch with Christine, and hear all about him on the board, so it's not like he will ever really be gone :)

I hope all goes well with introductions, and Razzle will have the companion he has been yearning for.

Well, I just sent Judi an email to let her know that Razzle is doing terrific! I am actually suprised at how well he is adjusting to our home; I have never had a bird before that was from another home, so I didn't know what to expect, but things are going just great! I try to put him in his cage, but he keeps ending up hanging on his door, so I keep taking him out because he is just so adorable that I can't resist. And he seems to love being out, too, he hops right on my hand when I open the cage and put my hand up to him. He is absolutely adorable.

The cutest thing happened, too. He started chirping, and when my lovebird Hunny heard him from the other room, he/she (Hunny) started chirping back. They chirped back and forth for about 5 minutes. Now, I know there is no way of knowing if they will definitely hit it off, but I am going to take this as a good sign for now. It will be awhile before I let them start interacting together, but I am really hoping things go well for these two.

I am just so in love with Razzie right now; he is so precious and I am so glad that I found him! Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that Hunny will feel the same way! :)

Yes, this is a WONDERFUL report! I am so surprised that Razzle is being so social with Christine, so quickly. He did really seem to take to her at my house though, so I guess he's very happy to be with her. What a relief for me to know that things are off to such a good start. It is rather quiet around here, but my heart is glad to know that he is happy, and that this situation is just perfect for him! Thank you Christine, and please, keep the updates coming!!!

Hey Christine,

This is great!!!! Watch out, Razzle may steal your heart and you may not wanna give him to Hunny ;) Just teasing. I actually love that my two enjoy my company, but also have each other. I think we all have the best of both worlds :D

Oh, I will definitely keep the updates coming! I really enjoy forums such as this one. I am suprised, also, with how well he adjusted. I was prepared to end up with a scared little birdy who would need time to adjust to me, but he has been such a trooper so far (fingers crossed)! He seems very curious about everthing, which is good.

My biggest hope, though, is that, in a couple of months, I can report that he and Hunny are getting along well. I look at how well my two male tiels get along, and I hope Hunny and Razzle can have the same friendship. Of course, if Hunny ends up being a female, it'll be a whole different kind of friendship- true love maybe?! ;) I guess only time will tell...

Well, I have covered Razzle and he should be snoozing by now. He is one special birdie and will be very loved in his new home!

Judi and Christine,
I'm so happy to hear that this situation worked out for you both. Hopefully Razzle will fall in love with Hunny and continue doing wonderfully in his new home. I'm so jealous. I really wish I could have taken him, but I'm glad Judi was able to find him a great home! :)
