My sister is in collage and she comes home every other weekend and we play with Martha together. She has fake nails you know the kind that you have people put on you the really think kind, well, she shows Martha her nails and she bites them. I thought nothing of it the next day. I took Martha out and I was stroking her and she started biting my thumb. Now I can't get to stop biting me. I pinch her beak a tiny bit like how they say in a magizine I read and she hasn't stoped. What do I do?

Taylor: You might try diverting Martha's attention by giving her something else to feel and chew on when she starts nibbling on your finger. I piece of vegetable tanned leather, a big button, or anything that is safe and has a unique texture. Most likely, Martha is exploring as she is young and inquisitive.......I would also let your sister know not to let Martha chew on her nails especially if there is nail polish on them as this is unhealthy for Martha.
Oh! And it's good to know Martha isn't afraid of your hands. She must really like being with you :D

Taylor, even my NON biter, Oliver has chomped down on a nail a time or two. I don't think he considered it biting at all, just something to chew. He actually drew blood one time when he hooked my thumb nail just right. The way I avoid it happening again is to be very careful when he'd around my nails and I'm occupied with something else. I did not scold him because again, I don't think he meant it as a bite. My new boys LOVE my nails....they nibble away but haven't really taken a bite yet. :D My nails are short and no polish except clear sometimes when I have the time (not often, :lol).
