Okay, I have a couple of extra cages hanging around, gathering dust and taking up space in my cloest.
I have one small finch/canary black cage. It retails about $14.99 at petco/petsmart.
I also have a parakeet/parrotlet sized white cage, for a single bird. It was a kit that was $29.00.
And I do have a finch/canary breeder type flight, it housed a pair of lovebirds comfortably, black rectangle shape, with a deep tray. Retail $39.99
I don't really need these cages and if anyone's interested email me, Asue@LunarMagazine.com

Yeah! I have one male peach face lovebird. I'm counting down the days til the Tim Vogles Birdshow/mart this month. I may get another lovie, but a Masked or a Fischers. If there are any at the show.

I would keep at least one small cage as a hospital cage or other emergency holding cell. Trips to the vet require a small cage, as do times when a bird needs to be isolated from the rest of the flock, or when they are ill and their movements need to be restricted. You may find yourself selling off your small cages only to have to purchase a new one again soon.

Hi Asue,

I see you're in Alpharetta. You do know that the show this month is in Perry, Georgia, right? That's south of Macon. Just wanted to make sure you knew how far you are from it. I go to all the shows, but I'm in between Atlanta and Macon. My brother & really like the Perry show, but it's very small compared to the Atlanta shows. If you do go to the Perry show, let me know. Maybe we could meet. Always nice to have more bird friends :D Janie I promise - I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER LB. At least not in Perry

I have a five gallon aquarium, some towels and a hot water bottle I use for hospital care at home.
I also have a tiny carrier for vet visits.
I have two ( one green, one white ) carriers that I bought for $3 at a birdmart when I found myself buying Mikey a year ago... after I told myself I wouldn't buy a baby lovie.

The temptation to fill these extra cages is there... but I promised myself that Mikey would be my only lovie for a little longer. If no one wants these cages, I'm going to donate them to a parrot rescue. Mostly rescues are larger birds, but I'm sure that smaller birds are found at shelters too.

Donating them is a great thing to do. I can not drive and husband told me he will not drive me that far..lol. Lord I need to learn to drive.

Steph, you have children and don't drive?????? I think I lived in my mini van when my kids were younger. I don't enjoy driving, not at all, but never figured out how to avoid it and especially with kids and pets in case of an emergency.

I never wanted to drive when I was 16.... actually my dad made me get my liscence... I litterally drove the 6 required driving hours and that was it...never practiced or anything... then I took the driving test and passed... I came home that night and ripped up my temp liscense and threw it in the trash right in front of my father....unfortunatly for me my real one came in the mail only days later..... :)

Now.. I just make my husband drive everywhere although im a better driver ;)
