My friend took two of my babies from a clutch two summers ago. She found out her mother is allergic to birds, and they have to find a new home for them. They are a DNA sexed male and female. They were tame when I gave them to her, but she didn't handle them much and they reverted back to being wild. They used to step up onto fingers before hopping away, but I haven't seen them in months, so I don't even know if they do that anymore.

They are both pied Peachfaces. Although they are male/female, they are siblings. About a year and a half old. Have never laid eggs before. A little work and they would settle nicely and be people friendly. Although they are people shy at the moment, neither one has ever bitten.

I desperately need to find them a home before I go back to school on January 13th. I just found this out today. If anyone in NJ (I live in Ocean county, but would be willing to drive a little ways to meet partway if necessary) wants these birds, please email me at Rowan1616@aol.com, or PM me here.

Thanks.

Thea,

I'm so sorry you are having to find a good home for your former babies. I hope you fine someone willing to take them and work with them too. Good Luck. :)

Oh, the poor dears... Have you thought about placing an ad on Petfinder.org? I believe that individuals can place there as well as rescues. Best of luck! They sound like a darling pair!
