NY Birdy Shops

Hi All,

I think i have a work trip to NY in the next few months. Last time i went i had a bit of free time in the evening and I went looking for a birdy shop so i could see what life was like the other side of the pond. But could not find one.

Does anyone know a nice big bird center in NY. Ill be on foot staying in near centeral station.

I've lived in the US for 42 yrs and never been to NY, pretty pathetic, huh? I was born in Germany - military brat - and moved to Atlanta, GA USA when I was 2 yrs old. Closest was landing at the NY airport on our way to Atlanta, which I don't remember. I hear it's really fast pace (like Atlanta's not - ha!) and lots of fun. Have a good time :)

I've never been to New York, but when I've traveled to other states I just do internet searches for parrot stores and check them out. Some have websites and some don't. You can also look in BirdTalk Magazine.

I *heart* NY! Was just there a couple of weekends ago. My sister has lived in the city for over 40 years so I visit when I can but have never looked for birdies there. Have fun!

I get bird talk.

Get this.. its cheaper to get bird talk shipped over to the uk than it is to get our local parrot mag. And not by a small amount either its something like 1/2 the price :(

Anways i did take a look but wasnt sure where places were. Will keep looking.

Hey Steve you might ask the hotel where you are staying....they might know of something close? I tried to do a search, but didn't come up with anything, but of course I don't know anything about NY!:D
