Howdy everyone! I thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Laura and I live on the island of Oahu in Hawai'i with my husband and lovie flock. I've lived in Hawai'i for 12 years. I'm an admitted lovie addict and I'm beginning to think I need an intervention :o. I joined this board a little over a year ago during Won Ton and Babygirls' first clutch of babies. Back then I had a mere 4 lovies and today my flock totals 19 and includes:
*Zimber: 5 1/2 yr old cobalt blue masked lovie and highlight of our life
*Squeaker: 4 1/2 year old black masked who is Zim's mate
*Won Ton: 2 year old OF who, along with Zim, is the highlight of my life
*Babygirl: Olive pied. She's a rescue and her age is unknown but she is sweet mamma and mate of Won Ton
*Birdy Boots: 1 1/2 year old cobalt seagreen who likes ALL the ladies
*CuddlyBunny: She's our 11 month old crazy creamino and Birdy Boots' mate
*Katsu: 1 1/2 year old dutch blue and genuinely sweat guy who's not interested in the swishy swishy
*Shy: 1 year old normal pied who is from Won Ton's first clutch and mate of Katsu. Yes, she is sexually frustrated. She's ready to make babies but Katsu wants none of that
*Babiest Bubber: 1 yr normal pied from Won Ton's 2nd clutch. She doesn't so much like to be handled but she is absolutely the sweetest hen we have
*Beeper: 9 month old blue pied. He is Babiest Bubber's mate and he was a wild man when we got him. He is so sweet and the perfect mate to Babiest Bubber though he's not so much in to us humans
*Spike: 1 yr old normal pied and daughter to Won Ton. She is currently fighting for Bocephus' attentions
*Bocephus: 2 1/2 month old American Yellow (YEP! Spiker likes em' young) male
*Basil: 1 year old Normal/OF and another of Won Ton's babies. She is a popular girl and always has the boys lining up. You got to watch your toes around her though, she's got the one eye honed in on all the action
*Crusty: Four Month old normal/OF and another of Won Ton's babies. He reminds me of an energetic dog who always needs attention. He stayed with us after his nest was attacked as a baby and then he later broke his femur. He is now an important part of our flock and mate to Basil
*Sage: 5 month old pied blue aussie. Poor guy doesn't have much of a personality but he's a beauty
*And last but not least, we have 2 cobalt seagreen and 2 creamino babies who were just weaned. They are the babies of Birdy Boots and CuddleBunny. They are sooooooo cute but I don't know how many we will keep if any.
YEP! This list is long, but I can write volumes of stuff on each of these unique personalities. I love them so much I can't imagine my life without them.
I just want to say thanx to everyone on the board that's been there for me and my flock during the good and and not so good times :).
