Daisy is just starting to nibble and bite my finger. If I say "no bite", she sometimes turns around and does it harder as if to spite me. I put her in her cage the last time she did it - (she doesn't like to be in her cage), so thought that might work. She's a bold one, I tell you. Have any of you experienced this?

To be honest, my best defense against birdy bites has just been to get used to them:rolleyes:. I think it's also important to distinguish between a bite and exploring. Lovies have no arms and use their beak to explore and experience the world. So it may be that Daisy isn't really biting.

I know this is no help but if you've had a CAG taking gashes out of your face, you learn to appreciate lovie bites:eek:  .

To end, I would say I really wouldn't put Daisy in her cage. The best thing to try is to tell her easy when she is getting rough. You can also have some other things to give her (leather strip, buttons, toys, etc.) to divert her from nibbling.... And remember, nibbling and exploring is normal in young lovies and most grow out of it. I've found this is a great time to become used to birdy beaks and their pressure.
