Well yesterday we had to bring one of the kids to the Emergency room....he was having trouble breathing.....after talking to the doctor, we were told that we should start looking to find new homes for our birds...the down is just too much for him.
We have a Umbrella Cockatoo, who is DNA'd Female, she just turned a yr old in june, and her name is "pretty baby", she talks, and just loves to sit on the shoulder,,,,she seems to prefer men, but does tolerate Ladies, she has been around kids 12 and up, loves to be talked too, and on occasion scritched. She is my husbands bird.
We also have a Goffins Cockatoo, who is DNA'd female, she just turned a yr old in July, and her name is "Emma" and that one, WOW does she love to play! she is like having a small puppy with wings! she is a cuddler like no other bird and would rather be with you and ON you than anywhere else in the world, she talks up a storm, (sometimes you cant shut her up LOL) if she sees you in the kitchen doing something and she isnt with you, she will repeat, "what'r you doin? What are you doin NOW?" she is a funny duck1 (err....goffin that is) LOL She takes a bath in her water bowl all the time, sometimes I will put a glass pie pan in her cage with a bit of water, and she is THERE!! She loves it!
None of us are happy about the fact that we have to sell them...but theres not much else we can do at this point. We have central air, and the down is being sucked in the return vents and blown all through the house, and I dont care HOW clean you are, you cant stop the down, its a constant thing with Too's.

The Umbrella Cockatoo "Pretty Baby" with her cage,toys, etc... is 900.00 (we paid 2500.00 just for the cockatoo, and 400.00 for her cage)
The Goffin Cockatoo "Emma" with her cage, toys, etc... is 600.
I cannot ship them, so if your interested, you will need to be willing to pick them up at my home. I am in Rhode Island, about a 5 min drive from the border of Massachusettes.
