I had posted a while ago about my peach-faced, Noah, and how he was being overly agressive towards my wife and I. Although we had seen him in agressive stages during "in-heat" times before, this one was different: almost anything became a target of his affection (if you know what I mean) and he would actually fly and attack us if we got close to him while he was in the...uh...middle of something.
We really didn't know what to do. We tried to take things that he would normally target (bottles, pillows, remotes) and hide them, but he was still a little rangy.
I had posted on here about what to do with our little guy, and had different options thrown (clip the wings, etc.), but here's what we found worked perfectly: cold showers.
We had a spray bottle filled with water handy at all times, and whenever Noah would start approaching something in "that" way, we'd spray him down. It didn't hurt him, and he got the message very quickly that certain behavior would mean getting wet...to the point that we'd just have to show him the bottle and he'd stop!
Now we have our little snuggle-bug back and couldn't be happier.
Just wanted to share this alternate way of keeping the hormones at bay.
