Let the gacking begin!

Friday has been gacking for and feeding Sonnet all day today. He also seems to be trying desperately to impress her with how handsome he is. She seems receptive to all his attention, and they've been in and out of the pavilion alot. Considering her age, 4 months now, is this chain of events something I should slow down somehow?

:) Friday and Sonnet remind me so much of when I first brought Melody home for Milo. Milo was absolutely smitten by Melody, just like Friday loves Sonnet. Must be something about those Australian cinnamon hens!

Milo was 8 months old and Melody 4 months when I introduced them. He would constantly try to mount her, even stepping on her tail so she couldn't get away. :omg: Finally one day she got in his face and threw a temper tantrum and he got the hint to leave her alone. Couple months after that she was more than happy to play "avian vet" with Milo and even tried to mount him a few times. :roll: :roll: :roll:

In other words, sounds like Sonnet is right on schedule. If you find a way to deter them please let me know because my pair are ... um ... well let's just say they're getting along very well these days and leave it at that. :blush:
