Why are my peachfaces obsessed with my mouth??? When I stick out my tongue or open my mouth wide, they're just enraptured and keep inching closer and closer in awe like they don't even know they're doing it.
I never let them touch my mouth of course unless my mouth is closed!

Maybe they think you will regurgitate food to them :) Usually if they see you as their mate... that is how they bond :)

I just remembered that one time one of them bit me on the lip when I waited to see what they would do. Of course that could have been b/c it doesn't hurt beaks, why would it hurt mom's "beak"?

hahahhaa I think it was not trying to hurt you :) Maybe they thought our "beak" is as strong as theirs! And they can bite it as hard :) dont take it personally :)

Tango is constantly trying to preen my face, including around my mouth, that's his favorite part actually, I try to avoid letting him near my mouth, but he's not content to just sit on my shoulder, he's gotta be snuggled right up in my collar, preening my chin, cheeks, mouth, hair, ears, anything he can get to, I try to discourage the mouth, because it's not safe for him, and the ears, because it's painful for me, but he just gets so happy, gets his little motor going, gets his little beak clicking, and becomes completely oblivious to the fact that I'm not as amused as he is

Why pay someone when you could have your lovebird pierce your lip....
The closest Cooper gets to my mouth now is when she takes off my glasses, which, luckily, are for the most part chew resistant.
