My 2 lovies are very different in personality.
Blue (who we think is a boy) chirps, tweets, holds a 'tune' for minutes at a time and goes on and on and on

Pink on the other hand just makes a single 'tweet' (like she's got a whistle stuck in her throat).
She NEVER makes any other sound than that single tweet.

Is that normal?

How old are your birds? If young, age may be a factor. The older they get, the more noises they learn, the more vocal they can get. However, my Bela does not make near the assortment of calls that Lacey makes. Then again, Lacey came from a home with many different species of parrots, so she picked up more. The one I wish they hadn't picked up is the Blue Jay call:eek:

Blu is my chirper. She can sing for hours. When she naps she makes chirp noises non stop. Pheobe on the other hand, took about 4 months before she would make something else other then a chirp every now and then. Now she can almost compete with Blu and the budgies as her security level increases.

They are both about 10 months old (I think!) its very strange!
They also confuse me with their eating habits. I can't get them to eat fruit or veg (despite my persistance) - I have found 'dried' corn on the cob which they LOVE (picking off and chucking around that is! ) but when I try and sneakily swap it for freshly cooked corn, they blank it!

Boy are they clever!!!
