Sign of content or sick? Just changed her cage(got a bigger one) she seems fine eating and drinking very lively just curious.
Thanks

Many birds sleep with just one foot on their perch so this is not a bad thing. A sick bird usually doesn't have the strength or balance to do this.

When Ditto is extra happy and napping on my finger he'll often be standing on one foot.

Pretty much every bird, except for Bumpy (she is old and has bad knee), does this at one time or another. They usually do it while they are relaxing or napping. I think it's their way of giving their feet a rest as they're on them all day and all night.

Cooper naps with one foot tucked up. But awhile ago she was holding one foot slightly above the perch to not put weight on it. A lame foot could be a sign of lead poisoning and after testing and birdie xrays (done with a dental xray machine - cute, but not really cheap) it turned out to be just a sprain, phew. So if your bird is favouring one foot all the time, then call a vet.
