Well with Baggy now letting me hold her more some things have come about. She is not biting me. It is on hand only(normaly thumb or nails). She sits on shoulder and will preen me. But when I want her back in cage she will nip or bite. She steps up onto my hand fine. It is when she is on shoulder and does not want to go back in it seems. If she is on a table, shelf,or even cage she is fine. For most part I tell her no in a firm voice. I try not to put her right in after a bite cause do not want her thinking a bite is how she goes back in. I have tried not letting her on shoulder but she hops up there.lol.

Sammy also doesn't like going back in, and that's when he bites -- not ever enough to break skin, but enough to make his wishes known, lol.
When he gets like that, I use the dowel to get him back into the cage. Even my tamest birds are trained to step up on the dowel. They think it's fun.

:( It has gotten worse. Now she is nipping me when she feels like it . I pet Whisper and she goes for the finger that touched her. Then she bit my lip. I have some nice marks on fingers now too. it was hard not to yell when she did it the last time. Looks like i need to read here more..lol.

How old is Whisper again? 3-4 weeks? Baggy might be getting nesty again....hence the behavior. Are you handling Whisper more now also? She might be feeling territorial about that also. You might try avoiding confrontations with her for now, using a dowel like Barb suggested and lots of distraction to get her in and out of the cage. I've learned watching for the behaviors that precede the bite has served me well; thought I still have battle scars from some bites.

Whisper is almost 4wks old. I am handling her same as I have last 2wks. I think I may change the time I take them out to when my husband is home. Baggy seem to like to preen him and maybe it will distract her enough. TY
