Thanks very much, all! I do appreciate you taking time to do a b-day post on Christmas Day. I know it can be a wild, busy time. I'm an only child, so I had lots of gifts/attention as a kid. I think Christmas b-days actually suck more as an adult. :bah: Really, anyone with a b-day within two weeks of Christmas in either direction experiences the same thing. For my 21st b-day, I remember telling mom I'd like to have a b-day cake that didn't have a Christmas theme. Then there are all the comments you receive during the year, such as when you show your driver's license..."Oh, a Christmas Baby!!!" My top two peaves, though, are usually because of the busy-ness and happen mostly :santa2: at the family Christmas gatherings: "Oh yeah, Happy Birthday" (then repeated almost in unison by the shocked crowd that suddenly realizes they forgot about that) and "This [gift] is for your birthday and Christmas." ;) Still, I feel very blessed and being part of this forum has been a new blessing for me and the birdies this year. Thanks, again.

"Oh yeah, Happy Birthday" (then repeated almost in unison by the shocked crowd that suddenly realizes they forgot about that) and "This [gift] is for your birthday and Christmas." ;)

My b-day is 2 days after Valentine's Day and I always got the same thing from every man I have ever dated. I'd get a present for V-Day and the caveat that it's for my birthday, too.

I had resolved to marry the first one who was smart enough to get me a large bouquet of roses on my birthday (when they're really cheap), but I got tired of waiting ;)

lol Yep, Tania, those roses do go on sale just after Valentine's. I feel your pain. :lol You were right not to wait - guys just don't get that stuff. My husband once told me he didn't do anything for me for Valentine's Day because he felt that Valentine's Day was for people who were dating. Oh, I handled THAT comment; let's just say the next year he did, in fact, have a dozen roses delivered plus some and has celebrated the day ever since. :rotfl:
