Meet Olive

Hi everyone
Last Saturday i bought another lovie from a big aviary :) .Ive named him olive because thats the colour of his feathers the breeder told us olive is a male.I think he's a normal green peachfaced with possible dark factors(will post pics soon).I took the boards advice and didnt put him in with my other 2 birds instead i took ying(she) the dominant bird out and put her in a seperate cage, then i added olive to the cage with yang(she).Yang seems to get along fine with olive and as for ying she will only stay in her cage a week till the new one comes up.

Congrats on the new lovie, Cam! I like the name. :D I thought of that name for my Yellowfaced Slate because of her olive coloring, but... I didn't like the name for a female. :p Cute for your male, though! Can't wait to see pictures.

that is great about the new bird...but i had to mention, did you forget to quarantine the new bird? anything the new bird might be carrying will now put your other birds at risk. just something to think about...

The breeder already had him in quarantine in a little cage so im sure(unless he caught it on the journey :x )that the bird is healthy.Olive has been getting on well and this evening i found him snuggling with Yang :lol then he started acting like he new the cage off the back of his claw :rofl and went running to his food but tripped over and landed headfirst in the seedbowl. :lol
