Untamed male bird lost his mate (Little Miss) two years ago. He is ready to move on to a new mate but I don't have the heart to get involved at that level again after the loss of Little Miss.
I have my little Sweetie who I will keep forever as my personal pet but Little Mister needs a good new (preferably breeding) home. I am in Central Virginia, Shenandoah Valley, and am willing to offer him for free to a qualifying person.
He's a pretty little dutch blue peachface and a proven breeder. But I want to be clear, make no mistake about it, he's not in ANYWAY tame. Mean as a snake, I described him in a post long ago, but a good caretaker to his mate, and a fine looking fella. Approximate age... 5 years old.
Also available is one of his offspring, female, two years old, busily laying 4 clutches a year of blank eggs. Her name is Small (long story). She had some handling as a baby but is also not really tame. She'll sit on your shoulder for a bit, but she is shy, skittish and easily startled. I can say she does take very good care of those empty little eggs and seems eager to be a Mama!
PM me if you're interested in either. (waving - Hi Linda, Barb et al! It's ME the squirrel lady! :D
