Celestino's 1st Hatchday!

Our Celestino is a year old today! It's kind of exciting because this is our first big milestone together. Seven months ago we brought home a scared going wild little lovebird. The fact that he was beautiful was the last thing we considered when we took him home. To be honest I almost felt like we were rescuing him as the store didn't seem interested in selling him. He was the only lovebird and was going wild. So unexpectedly we had a little hookbill we soon learned was all parrot. Our world has totally changed and we love it. Celestino is now a very socialized bird who is very tame and trusting. He has also grown into a beautiful young adult. We are starting our second molt and after some health problems he came to us with very healthy.

Thank you everyone here who has helped us get here as we would have been lost without you.

Celestino thanks you all for the warm wishes. He was a very lucky birdy and got lots of new toys for his hatchday. Celestino also got whole grain bread for a cake and loved it. It's great bread because it's made from all sprouted seed rather than grains. Of course he got all his favorites as well. I have to admit he's a very spoiled boy who pretty much rules the house when he can:rofl: .
