hey I'm new

Hey everyone, my name's Lindley (but most people even my friends and cousins call me Leia) and my cousin Diana who is a member of this board just gave me one of her little lovebirds. I've chosen to name her Saphira and she's the cutest little thing I've ever seen. I've never owned a lovebird before but Diana gave me one of her books on them and I've been reading it since yesterday, and between what I've read and what I've experienced from Saphira already they seem to be great birds.

Anyway, now I think I will go look around at the rest of the board. Saphira says hi! (she's on my shoulder now)

Thanks for the welcome everyone. :) My cousin was right, everyone here has been great so far. As for how I got my bird's name... well I'm afraid it's not really that original. There's this great book called Eragon about a boy and a dragon and the dragon (who was blue, same as my little lovebird) ended up with the name Saphira. And don't worry, if it wasn't because my mom accidentally left the digital camera at Diana's house yesterday I'd have pics up with this post. Hopefully when Diana comes to visit Saphira she'll bring the camera and I'll have pics up as soon as I can. :)

Welcome from Atlanta, GA! I am owned by two spoiled rotten lovies. Molly is a 1 year old Lutino and Daisy is a 5 months old Creamino. I hope to get a violet soon so Daisy won't chase Molly around :D
