What a GREAT story. My hubby read about that this morning and told me but he remembered the parrot as a "Grey Beaked Parrot!" I had a funny feeling that it must be an African Grey. Thanks for linking it, Carrie!

African greys are so smart my dads is always fooling him and his wife with its mimcry
....Two little birds were on my doorstep, singing sweet songs in a melody pure and true.....
And I still can't get Eddie to say pretty bird!
Although he will do a certain chirp for "yes" when I ask him if he wants to go to bed when he is tired.
