    Default bonding

ok so i posted in here not to long ago about how long till i can put two love birds in together,
(the whole backstory is on the other thread)

I now have 2 lovebirds of opposate sex in the same cage, they dont fight or anything but they do not go near each other often, the female chases the male around sometimes being friendly i believe but the male was bonded with another before it died so i think maybe thats why he wont go near her?

how long till they should bond?

How long is a very hard question, as only they can decide if they like each other. They may or they may not. I would take it day by day and just watch their progress. After a couple of weeks, if they still aren't close to each other, you may have to find a new mate for each of them. Just give them time to settle in and get to know each other a bit better.

I've had pairs I've had to re-pair simply because they just didn't like each other.
