    Default She's not alone!

Hi friends! Well, Sky is no longer queen of the house, as yesterday a puppy arrived, a Boston terrier we called Leia. Any advice you can give me on pupper/birb diplomacy? Besides the obvious "never leave them together unsupervised", "never show one more affection than the other". Thanks!

Congratulations on the new puppy! Advice for dogs/birds together? Never forget that dogs are predator animals, while birds are prey. With strict training, you may be able to control the behavior but it never goes away. You may find that they develop their own relationship with each other, however, I don't ever relax when I have birds together with either dogs or cats. The saliva from cats and dogs contains Pasturella, which is deadly to birds. Hopefully, this will work out for you.
