    Default Maverick Needs a Companion

I thought Maverick would be happy as a singleton, as he's around others in my flock, he gets attention from me, and he's got a cage big enough to allow him plenty of room to move around. The more I interact with him, the more I realize he needs a feathered companion in addition to everything else he has. I contacted his breeder earlier today and she said she should have babies in a couple of months. Look like my flock will expand by one more..........

I hadn't planned on one more, but Maverick is happy, yet he's not. I have a pair of Tiels in the cage next to his and he's constantly chattering to the male. I think Maverick would accept Lucero as a cagemate but Lucero has a female companion and that would leave Isis as an unhappy camper. I love Maverick a lot but he can't live on my shoulder all the time. " Just one more parrot.... " Yes, selectively!

I;m hoping so, too! Maverick is very personable but inspite of the attention he gets from us, I think he need the companionship of someone who wears feathers. Unfortunately, we don't. Not sure if the companion will be male or female. Guess it depends on what the breeder has available.
