Interesting. This has also been an issue in NY and other cities, I'm sure.

This is very sad. I used to have a big bird bath in front of my house where the front windows are and the water would reflect up into the window and occasionally a bird would fly into the window thinking it was water. I moved it last year and they've quit running into the window. I have also read that a window decal in the form of a spider web will also deter birds from windows because they won't fly into a spider web.

Paulette, I'm on a couple of wild bird forums and during spring mating season, lots of birds want to "fight" that reflection they see in windows. Any kind of decal does help stop that, even masking tape. Same thing with a birds flying into a large window.
