The dog had to have her heartworm/flea medicine today. Man, I thought the birds pouted when THEY had to have meds!

THAT sounds familiar! My dogs, especially the Chiquaqua, pout and act mad at me for hours once we get home from the vet or I pick them up at the kennel. Birds just come home exhausted and sleep it off.

My name is Deb and I am a lovie addict.
I use Ivemectin for heartworm so I just squirt the liquid over Sam's food. There's no taste so he just inhales it right along with the food that it's on.....He cleans his bowl so I don't have to worry that he didn't get it all!

There are no bad birds, just misunderstood ones.
Milo is the biggest drama queen ever when it comes to vet visits. After the visit, while I'm paying and getting paperwork, he will stand on his perch with his eyes screwed shut tight and ignore everyone, even the receptionist who begs him for attention. When we get home I drop him off with hubby in the recliner. Milo puts his beak against hubby's cheek or chin and proceeds to pout ... and pout ... and pout.
